So tonight I decided to check out this new show called “Quarterlife.” In this show you are presented with a lot of drama that normal people don’t have to deal with. Although the concept of a “quarterlife” seems to me to be a very real thing.
According to Wikipedia “The quarterlife crisis (QLC) is a term applied to the period of life immediately following the major changes of adolescence, usually ranging from the ages of 21 - 29.” Some symptoms of QLC are “insecurity regarding the future, disappointment with one’s job, loneliness and a re-evaluation of close interpersonal relationships.”
It’s funny because I think the above definition completely nails how a lot of my friends are feeling. A majority of my friends fall in the 21-29 age group. I have experienced more then one of the above symptoms in the last few years of my life. You look around and see people doing things you’re not doing, or you wonder why you are doing so much and others are doing so little.
I think we should take this time in our lives to re-evaluate who we are and what we want to be.
So what do I want you to take away from this? Don’t bother watching Quarterlife. You will be watching a soap opera at night and will find yourself sucked into drama that you don’t need.
Quote of the day
“Why do we blog? We blog to exist, therefore we are... idiots.”
